How to play Snakes and Ladders

Use QTHCC to play Snakes and Ladders and read its instructions on the same page. Reach square 100 exactly. A roll past 100 leaves the token where it is. Follow the build a repeatable approach approach for your next round.

Build a repeatable approach

Try a consistent sequence of observing, choosing and checking the result. Keep the sequence even when the position or challenge changes.

Your goal

Reach square 100 exactly. A roll past 100 leaves the token where it is.

Step by step

  1. Player 1 rolls first, starting before square 1.
  2. Move the number of squares shown by the die.
  3. Follow a snake or ladder when landing on its starting square.
  4. Alternate turns until one player reaches 100.

Controls

Use the on-screen controls with a mouse or touch.

A useful example

From square 98, rolling 2 wins. Rolling 3 overshoots and leaves the token at 98.

Watch out for this

A roll of six does not grant an extra turn in this version.

Common questions
